The main focus of the practice Is the long-term health of our patients, and the vast majority of our patients’ care is what we refer to as ‘General Dentistry’.

The scope of general dentistry is wide and includes simple treatments, such as white composite fillings and extractions, all the way up to more complex care such as crowns and root canal therapy.

At every appointment, we will offer a comprehensive assessment of the health of your teeth and mouth – and will suggest solutions for any problems we may see.

For example, if there is an old filling or a small chip to a tooth that needs repair, we may suggest rectifying this with a white composite filling. However, should your concerns be more serious, we may opt for a crown or an onlay as a more suitable solution.

We also have some of the latest X-ray technology to monitor and diagnose any potential problems very early on, which means smaller, less invasive interventions and easier treatments for our patients.

Root canal therapy also falls into the remit of general dentistry. It Is an advanced procedure designed to save a tooth that has been causing you pain as a result of the nerve being damaged through tooth decay or trauma.

We carry out oral screening as part of your routine check, too, and our team is trained to spot the early signs of mouth cancer.

Early detection is key to a better chance of cure and only takes a few minutes. We can also discuss diet and lifestyle changes to help reduce the risks.
